Community Support

On June 2nd, a supermajority of non-tenure faculty at USC participated in our historic union election, and 70% voted YES to unionize. The night before the vote count, USC filed a formal request with Trump’s labor board in Washington D.C. to overturn our rights to a union by challenging the basis of the election itself.

Now, faculty and our allies are urging USC to respect the results of our clear democratic vote, withdraw their appeal, and bargain in good faith. Countless voices in the USC and greater Los Angeles area are chiming in to support our efforts.

See below letters and posts from elected and community leaders at USC and across Los Angeles –  including from members of Congress, LA City Council, the LA State Delegation, Bernie Sanders, and more; as well as from USC alumni, undergraduate students, tenure-track faculty, and leaders representing over 4,000 unionized academic workers at USC.
