Important update! Voting has been extended in our historic union election. We encourage all eligible faculty to make an informed decision and vote. See below for more information on the new details.
-
Ballots must be received by the NLRB by Monday, June 1st (extended from May 15th)
-
Ballots will be counted by the NLRB on Tuesday, June 2nd
Some faculty have not yet received ballots due to the fact that USC submitted hundreds of addresses to the regional NLRB that were missing apartment or unit numbers. For this reason, voting has been extended, and ballots will be re-sent to these faculty starting Wednesday, May 13th at 5 PM. (Note that if you already mailed in your ballot and receive a duplicate, you do not need to send in another.) If you have any questions about receiving your ballot, please reply directly to this email. You can find full election information here.
We’re voting for the voice we deserve. Like tens of thousands of other unionized faculty, we would stand a better chance of establishing the pay, benefits and conditions we deserve and that match the value we bring to USC. We’re voting yes.
This election provides a historic opportunity to change the system wherein a few powerful administrators currently decide for all. In order to preserve this system, the USC administration continues to send out messaging intended to dissuade faculty from supporting unionization.
To make an informed choice, please attend our next UF-UAW Informational Town Hall on Thursday, May 14th, at 12 PM on Zoom. We’ve also included some helpful links below:
